I have a 2019 Samsung Q60R smart tv. It still works just fine. How much longer is Samsung likely to provide software updates for this model. Also after the software updates have ended, how much longer would they support app updates like You Tube? I’ve noticed that I’ve never had a prime video update since I’ve had the TV. Is this normal. All other apps have recent updates, but prime video app is from 2018 according to details.
Software support for your TV expires in 2025. Samsung is not responsible for updating apps - that's the responsibility of developers and streaming service owners. They will update apps as needed until there are very few users of the outdated OS left. For example, app developers have already started dropping support for apps for Samsung TVs released before 2014.
