My TV is a Samsung model UN43NU6950B, manufactured in October 2019.  I am trying to flip the screen horizontally.  I can access the MRT option menu, and I can select HVFlip and the screen flips vertically and horizontally, but when i select HFlip, nothing happens, even though this is one of the three options (OFF, HVFlip, HFlip) available.  What am I missing, or is this a bug with this unit?

Hello LJHengineer, thank you for reaching out to the Samsung community regarding your TV and welcome! I understand you are trying to flip the screen horizontally on your Samsung TV model UN43NU6950B.

The first thing I recommend is checking if your firmware is up to date. Updating the TV sometimes resolves any glitches our customers are experiencing.

Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with the MRT options. Can you provide further details on this specific feature?

My firmware is up to date.

The MRT options are available on the service menu, which for me is displayed when I press on my remote (with the TV off) MENU, 1, 8, 2, POWER and then select OPTIONS.

I am trying to flip (the HFlip MRT option) the display horizontally, i.e. LEFT goes to RIGHT, and RIGHT goes to LEFT.

I am going through this to make a Tai Chi video demonstration easier for my wife to follow.  Without a horizontal flip and the instructor facing the camera, he will do "brush knee to the right" for example and of course, he is performing the movement to my left.   In a separate recording, when he repeats the movement with his back to the camera, he is of course moving to my right, but any subtle movement of his hands are hidden.

I have been unable to make the screen flip horizontally.  I can flip it horizontally and vertically (HVFlip).

Thank you for clarifying this for us, regarding putting your Samsung TV into service menu mode.
As a moderator and representative of Samsung, I must advise against entering the service menu yourself. The service menu is designed for use exclusively by authorized and highly trained Samsung service technicians.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with putting your TV in Service Menu mode. I realize you need this feature to help with a demonstration video, but we can only recommend a professional to take care of the symptom. If an adjustment is necessary, a Samsung authorized service technician will be dispatched to handle it correctly and safely, ensuring your warranty remains intact.

I appreciate hearing from anyone about my concern, but I would really like for Samsung or a fellow user to share a solution.  Just in case there was a gap between the software settings and the actual hardware installed, here are the specific numbers for my unit:

Model Code : UN43NU6950BXZA

Version No : DA01 / UNU7090

S/N : <REDACTED>

I can't imagine that the TV is still under warranty, but even so, I am very careful not to change any setting other than the MRT ones.
