TV buzzed then popped and sparked from the back and turned off

TV was on then suddenly it made a buzzing sound, followed by a loud pop and then sparks came out the back. TV turned off and a horrible smell is coming from it. 

Theres no signs of power issues in the house, loss or surge. 

Is this a known issue?

Its sounds like the power supply blow and you would need to contact support to have a technical check it to see what caused the issue.
