Intermittent dark display

All of a sudden some of the shows are so dark they look like shadows moving around.  Probably 80 to 90% of all the shows come in great, but occasionally one turns up almost black.  I turned off HRD(?), nothing changed.  If I pause the show the small window that shows up above the show's progress line(?), shows up fine.  If I fast forward it, the small window continues to be fine.  But if I click to continue watching, it goes back to being a VERY dark screen.  This is a QN55Q60T model.

Check your picture settings for "shadow detail" adjust as needed, and contrast enhancer is off . I had the same problem on some tv shows and movies that looked too dark. Dark scenes were sometimes unwatchable. Adjusting the settings above helped me to correct the dark scenes on my tv.

MrGhoul,  Thanks for the reply.  I got hold of Samsung last night.  Tried explaining everything to their tech.  Wanted me to show a video so he could watch what was happening.  Ended up allowing him to access my TV.  He tried the show I mentioned and saw what was happening. He then went into my settings, went from topic to topic and finally asked to try one viewing the show again.  Lo and behold it worked!  Not sure what he did, but he cured it.  Thanks for the response.
