Hi, I’ve had my UE50CU8500KXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR LED TV since February and it’s always paired with my HW-C430 2.1Ch Bluetooth Sound Bar with no problems. However, today it’s lost it.

I was watching TV when I used the smart remote to try and reduce the volume. The on-screen prompt showing the volume going down appeared but it acted as if I was continually pressing the volume down, lost audio and got stuck in this state. I got it out of the state by using the larger remote to turn the tv off but after turning it on again it can no longer connect to the sound bar.

Things I’ve tried:

Going to audio outputs and manually selecting the soundbar - a loading spinner appears for a while but it doesn’t manage to connect and gives up after a while.

Going into the settings on the TV and trying to look at Bluetooth devices - it won’t open that page, the menu just closes.

Connecting my phone to the soundbar - this works as expected so it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the soundbar.

It seems to me that the Bluetooth on the TV has died in some way - has anyone heard of that happening? Or any suggestions of other things I can try please?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you unplugged the TV for a few minutes to maybe reset it? & maybe the soundbar too.

Definitely should have tried that - thanks for the suggestion, that’s fixed it!
