Galaxy Watch with 3rd Party Data Plan only.

I just upgraded to Galaxy watch 7 ultra song Galaxy watch 6 classic. What I have Galaxy watch 6 classic LTE I had it link with my XfinityGalaxy watch 7 ultra song Galaxy watch 6 classic. What I have Galaxy watch 6 classic LTE I had it link with my Xfinity mobile plan, so the phone number is synced with the watch. So far I had no luck to activate my watch ultra with Xfinity mobile. I am looking into third-party options. Esim providers such as Mobimatter allow activation on smart watches. However, I will only have data plan not a separate number. I'm not sure if this still allows my phone to get text messages and phone calls forwarded to the watch when I don't have the phone with me?

Go to your watch and try to text make sure data is on auto first then as you try and text you will have the option to switch inbox from phone to watch click on phone and that's it. Wifi and Bluetooth on in case your far away it will use remote make sure you're phone and watch are paired and connected to set this up

See since your watch has its own plan by default it s using your plans inbox but with paired to your phone the inbox will pop up on your watch like this

It's all so simple and confusing at same time but once you get it you'll actually be amazed . Is your phone also Samsung? Enable call and text from other devices through wifi and mobile its in the phones connection settings

Thanks. I just discovered I have this setting for enabling call and text from other device on the z fold 6. Anything I need to do on the Wearable app? I'll test it out tomorrow.

The problem may be I got the plan with own number. I tried to switch to data only plan but it won't switch until end of the month.

Thanks for your relentless help. It's working. When I go into sms on my watch, it is there even if my watch is not contacted with Bluetooth to my phone. I just didn't get a notification. It's kind of cool to have a separate number.

Yes it's great no fail or dealing with endless issues and connection problems just forward and no doubt you'll be getting your calls like I said make sure on your watch the message app your using has notification enabled also make sure the permissions are set up to allow it to send the notification. If your using Google messages allow it to notify you and set it as your default . If you only have Samsung messages still double check make sure all permissions and notifications are allowed

No that's good voice and data is the best option also make sure the notification are on for you messages app your using both on phone and for watch . Hope this helps you get it working.. Also do not worry you can create a new Esim as needed in case you switch watches or just experiment with your settings and remove the plan by mistake. It's free of charge I've done it when switching watches more than a few times without any fees or issues . That's pretty cool also . The text and call on other devices is not working on my s23+ I've upgraded to,🤔 thankfully with Tello it doesn't interrupt the functions of my watch although I will be obsessed over it till I find the reason/solution.

Did you ever get it resolved? Doctor forget to choose your default message app. I'm not sure if you got the message about resolving the remote connection by backing up watch clearing the data in Google play services app on your phone reconnect and it should be fixed
