I'm not sure if this is my device, but with the last May update, Samsung removed the ability to transfer my watch between phones. I checked the general settings in the wearable app and on the watch.I checked the "About" section on the wearable app and on the watch. The transfer option is missing.

I even attempted to use Smart Switch to transfer my watch, but the watch refused. Samsung, please fix this ASAP.

Transfer to new phone was on my general settings menu. I had accidentally disconnected the watch in Bluetooth. I was able to get a transfer initiated. But it froze up at 86% complete. (I realized too late that although my Samsung accounts on both devices was the same, the Google accounts were different. That may have led to the freeze up.) During that time the watch transferred sleep data from the night before to my phone. The fact that there was no sleep data yesterday morning is what alerted me that the watch and phone weren’t syncing. After syncing, it disconnected, and “transfer to new phone” was not on the menu anymore.

I think I’m stuck with having to reset at this point. I don’t think there’s a backup for the watch in.
