The weirdest thing has happened a couple times and now I'm concerned. For no apparent reason, my watch keeps doin a forced reset. I then have to go through the whole process of setting it up again. This time around it completely changed the way my watch is set up. Face, settings and icon order. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening? This thing cost too much and is only 4 months old. 😡

No report, just looking for the solution to the the same issue as the title of this thread - "Galaxy Watch 7/Ultra resetting". Thanks for the suggestion!

The only solution would be for the developers to find the glitch and correct it, and to do that they would need the report so they can a) see the logs to determine if there is a common element between users and,  b) determine how widespread the issue is.

I see the moderators put up a post in April about a patch being worked on, but I have seen no notification or heard of anyone being notified to download the patch - unless they quietly pushed it in another update. It shouldn't take 3 months to create a patch once they identified the issue.  Perhaps they were only sending a link to the patch to those who created an error report. Another reason why it's important to put in reports.

9 months later from their post and it's still broken.

 

Perhaps Samsung should hire some developers or a team that cares.

Same Issue here with Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and Galaxy Watch 6.
Very annoying Bug.
Drives me mad!

Wish for better Update Service from Samsung,

Only just started happening for me. I don't want to have to rest my watch, just so I can reconnect it to my phone.

Had this issue with my watch Ultra a few months back before I traded for the watch 8 44mm. What worked for me, once reset happened I DID NOT restore from backup during the setup process. Hopes this works for you Guys!!

This just happened to me with my watch Ultra and S25 Ultra. I can't believe this has been happening this long and Samsung hasn't fixed it yet. So far they've deleted 2 posts of mine and sent me to a link saying a solution was accepted. Well the issue is still happening and since the watch is solely dependent on the Wear app I can't even get in to the watch settings. I've proven that the Bluetooth is working perfectly fine on both my phone and watch but the software still fails to finish setting up the connection. I sent Samsung all of my screenshots and system logs thinking that it would help but now I see they've known about this issue for months and still haven't addressed it. I now have a very expensive paperweight in the form of a watch. I'll never buy another product from them no matter the discount or trade in deal. This is totally unacceptable.

It's been 9 months at least Samsung have been aware of this, as they mentioned in this post. Still broken to this day.

 

It's ok - they're still making loads of money with our purchases and data.

When are you going to fix this issue Samsung?

Happens with my Samsung Ultra once a month of so, requiring a full reset which takes hours. I think this is it with Samsung devices, you want to start doing some testing.

 

I suggest we all review the watch and it's related apps in the stores accordingly to our user experience.
