The weirdest thing has happened a couple times and now I'm concerned. For no apparent reason, my watch keeps doin a forced reset. I then have to go through the whole process of setting it up again. This time around it completely changed the way my watch is set up. Face, settings and icon order. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening? This thing cost too much and is only 4 months old. šŸ˜”

Yes, I'm using Life360, I'm the one that posted Samsung's response where they claimed to have reviewed my logs & subsequently blamed Life360 for causing my Watch to permanently disconnect from the phone.

Unfortunately, like I mentioned in another post, I simply cannot "uninstall" Life360, as my family & I use it to share locations & receive related notifications, etc.

Not to mention, my watch seems to disconnect every ~2 weeks.  And, for such a duration I'm not willing to go without Life360 for that long in "hopes" that it no longer disconnects.  Especially since, w/ such a long duration, there's no way for me to know if my uninstalling Life360 is truly a valid solution within anywhere close to the near future.

As w/ many other affected users, I'm tired of the delays, I'm tired of the denial & failure to acknowledge the bug, I'm tired of Samsung seemingly putting *NO* urgency toward getting this fixed.

Sorry, again. I have a habit of not reading usernames when I respond. It's just that many people all of a sudden are now creating new posts on this, and I have been actually referring them to the "workaround" you were given by the developers.  If I recall, you also queried as to whether the others affected by this are also using Life360, and it appears the answer to that is, "yes".  Can you just disable the watch component? If your phone is with you most of the time anyway, it shouldn't be a major issue.  I don't know how the app works - is there a watch companion app?  Can you disable notifications on the watch? Is there a way to exclude the watch from the app's locator?  Disengaging the watch would still allow the features to be active on the phone.

No worries.

As far as I can tell, there is absolutely zero integration between LIfe360 & the watch.

There is no Life360 companion app I'm aware of, nor am I aware of any reason why in the world such an app would affect only the Watch connection.

Furthermore, even if Life360 caused BT to temporarily disconnect, it's especially counterintuitive that it'd cause the watch to refuse reconnection until it's factory reset.

All that said, I cannot help feeling that Samsung's excuse of Life360 causing this issue is a lofty stretch...  Regardless, I cannot uninstall Life360 from my phone due to our family's dependencies on it.  And there's no way to "Disable" it from my watch by nature of it having literally zero integration into the watch to begin with.

It may not be affecting the watch itself, but rather conflicting with something in the Wear app?  If you know how to read your logs (or know a programmer), and know what to look for, when the logs are uploaded with the error report, a copy of the logs are placed on your phone.  You can locate them in the file manager. Internal storage/download/log/GearLog.  Each log is a zip file with a date (if you sent multiple logs). You can extract the files and open the log (usually with a text reader). I suspect it's best to do this on a computer where you undoubtedly have more drive space and a bigger screen.

Is anyone else having issues with their watch ultras disconnecting? it randomly drops Bluetooth connection. It would always ask me to pair my watch all over again. I've had to do it five times already.

You should run the Bluetooth diagnostics for both your watch and your phone to see if there's an issue with either device.

I did run a diagnostic. It says that everything is good. I got an update the other day so hopefully they covered it on that update

I was having the same problem for a little bit a couple of months ago and after doing an update on my phone as well as my watch it seemed to have fixed it. Can't say for sure that's what it was but you never know. I'm curious though, is your phone Samsung also?

I did just do an update the other day. Hopefully that fixes it. I am using a Samsung as well. This has been going on for awhile now. Just wondering if anyone else were experiencing something like this

Hmmm, for the first time my phone is NOT a Samsung so I figured that was my issue, a Samsung watch and a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL but since I did that update the other day on both devices everything seems to be okay now. Who knows, just hope it stays that way. šŸ™
