So I'm really frustrated to the point of almost getting rid of my watch after some issues have started. When I would get a text message I use to be able to raise my arm up and see the message of the text. This has been fine since I got the watch up until about 2 weeks or so ago. Now every time I get a message and I look at it it doesn't show who its from and it just says new message for the the texts in the message. I "think" I  have tried everything I can find on it and it still does it. So frustrating because I have to stop, then go into the messages and then read it.  Has anyone else had this issue and if so was there a fix for it?

Which OS is on the watch?  All my text messages show the sender and the text of the message on my watch 7.  I just got the OneUI8 update.  Have you cleared the watch's cache partition?

Then a reset might be your only option.  Make sure you have a current backup. It may not solve your problem?  Are you using Samsung Messages?  I use Google Messages, that may be why all my texts come through properly.  Try switching apps before you reset.

Even if you prefer Samsung Messages on your phone, you can still use Google Messages on your watch.  Both apps contain the same data.  You can allow notifications from Google Messages on your watch and turn off notifications from Samsung Messages.  You will still get your messages.  It will not hurt anything to test it out, and you can change it back if I'm wrong and it doesn't work for you.  If you want to continue to use Samsung Messages, you will have to live with the current format of notifications on the watch.  You can send feedback to the developers that this is not a development you are happy with, although I don't think anything is going to change, since Samsung is not really maintaining the messaging app anymore, so I don't think they are inclined to fix it.  The idea is to push everyone to Google messages.
