I would like to have the ability to have my phone remind me to charge my watch when the watch's battery charge drops to a desired level. Can we please have watch battery charge level added as a routine IF condition in Modes and Routines on our phones?

Currently routines do not apply to anything having to do with the watch. The best you can do is choose a watch face where you can add a battery level complication to keep your eye on the battery level or wait until you get the power saving notification at 12%. It's ridiculous and they should add routines for the watch.

Hi there!

I’d love to suggest a feature that would significantly improve the experience for users who own both a Galaxy Watch and a Galaxy smartphone.

Currently, neither SmartThings nor Bixby Routines allows users to trigger an action based on the battery level of a connected Galaxy Watch. I’d like to request the ability to create a routine that triggers, for example:

  • When my Galaxy Watch reaches 80% battery, send a notification

  • When the watch drops below 20%, remind me to charge it

This type of functionality would be extremely helpful for:

  • Preserving long-term battery health by avoiding overcharging

  • Automating battery-based routines (e.g., charging reminders, energy saver modes)

Since the Galaxy Wearable app already tracks and displays watch battery percentage, it seems feasible to expose that data to the SmartThings or Bixby Routines engine.

Thank you for considering this request! I’m a loyal Samsung user (currently using a Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7), and I’d love to see the ecosystem become even smarter and more connected.

Kind regards,

Robert

I agree 100% and brought this missing feature up here about a week ago. The linked phones know what the watch's battery level is, so the watch's battery level should be available as an IF condition in Modes and Routines!

Have you ever tried what you are recommending? I suspect that the folks on the receiving end there don't understand English. You submit an idea, and all you receive is a response apologizing for your inconvenience. They have no clue.

I have and this is an English forum for US Samsung users. The common language of Europe is English. Both large markets. I'm sure they have many employees that understand English well enough.

Better to make an attempt with those that can make changes, than those that can do nothing.

That's what one would think, but repeatedly receiving canned, apologetic, irrelevant responses to submitted ideas is very disappointing and discouraging.

Agreed. Very disappointing.

But we're not the only people providing feedback. Hopefully they have a method of aggregating the responses and providing them to the developers.
