I did a restart on my phone (Galaxy S23+) this morning because I noticed a lag in message sending. After the restart the phone synced with my watch (Galaxy 6 Classic) and I had steps removed from my step totals for the last 3 days. The steps were over 10,000 for each of the last 3 days, and after the phone restart, all days went down by 1,000 - 2,000 on the watch and updated to modify the totals on the phone too.
I normally wouldn't care, but I'm doing a step-challange with my co-workers and I'm too competitive to have completed/logged steps disappearing into the ether!

If you know how to restore my steps, please tell me šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

I have a Galaxy Watch Ultra and had to turn my watch off and then on again because for some reason even though it was synced with my phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra) it wasn't recording my sleep or my steps properly. I think it's fixed now.

First thing I did when I noticed the issue was to restart the watch too. Didn't work 😢

It's possible it was a correction.  Perhaps the watch was overcounting steps and the reboot made the correction.

I don't think that was what happened. I checked a date/time that I knew I had almost 5,000 steps, and that time frame now shows 138 steps.

Well, you can try restoring your last phone backup and see if it comes back.  That is, unless a backup was made *after* you discovered the problem.
