Galaxy WatchI've always used the watch version of GBoard on my previous watches (Watch 2 and 4). Now I have the Watch 7 and downloaded GBoard and it is installed, but the watch will not let me choose it as the default. I am happy they improved the Samsung keyboard for the watch, but I still don't like it and don't want to use it. I do not know whether this is a Google problem or a watch problem, so I put in an error report with Samsung, and now I'm off to report to Google.

Galaxy WatchGood News! @ChaosSaber , @userdC5xzVWcFd , @MickeyD123 As of today, 2/8/2025, I was able to set the GBoard as the default on my Watch 7 -- and it works!. They must have done some type of update, because yesterday it was not working (I test it every day), and today it is.
Now, if only Meta would get its act together regarding messenger...

Galaxy WatchWell, I also sent an error report to Samsung, so I don't really know who fixed it, only that it now works for me.

Galaxy WatchWell, it suddenly started working for me the other day. Keep trying, one day it wasn't working for me, the next day it was. As I said, I don't know who fixed it Samsung or Google, as I put in a report with both. I suggest you do the same. The more complaints both of them get on this issue, the more likely it is to be addressed quickly. Venting here is not going to get it fixed.
