ok i just got notify about wanting to set it up which not because it claims after the first 30 days 4.99 month<-not going to make my dad pay for this

i kindof wonder if was pertain to why i got message about at and t backup thing that you guys shut down am not to please

i'm still very afraid what i did past sun night and i still think i should had done optimize instead not now don't know get notify optimize or not nor i can't understand why i cannot select optimize in device care battery stuck on being unrestricted and optimize is grey out

on a side note that Samsung cloud is a joke i don't know what is going on under backup i click on back up date despite i got it on auto backup while roaming it still saying last backup on 5th when i did smart switch so i guess time to time i have to manual click on backup now meh

going to try to chat with Samsung  then at and t still don't understand that message got past sun night<-its my own fault i should had screenshot or wrote it down piece of paper then asked before i click on it show battery icon and would had click to right side that said optimize but i didn't know why it wanted me to do that

all Samsung on phone wants to do is that sorry app to download to look on my phone can't understand me and trying to talk to at and t support today women couldn't understand me either

The att cloud is optional but think if you do use it for set number of days the terms state payment required

You don't need to bother with the AT&T cloud. Your phone backs up automatically every night to the Samsung cloud.
As for the device care, once again, you are looking at the wrong settings. Look at the photos and instructions below. This is all you need to do about optimization. Go to settings/device care 1740111474986.jpg1740111475052.jpg1740111475103.jpg

actually samsung cloud not working right because all i see still backup from 5th  after backup smart switch old phone to new phone despite i got auto back up while roaming is on when i got my account click on samsung cloud back up data seems i have to manually back it up

now google drive back up data is good backup by google one an hour ago

so it seems to me samsung chat coming from them saying that since pre install device care that when you go to settings apps find device care click on battery by default supposed to be unrestricted and despite optimize and restricted are there they are also supposed to be grey  out<-this is correct right?

seems i need to call or chat with at and t figure out why i got that notification past sun night what did it really want to optimize seems it coming from at and t cloud<-must be because why notify last night to finish setting it up?

when i said not now did i really lose stuff or not am not sure will come back notify me again

at and t is the judgment that freak me out device care nada again i thought that reason why i said not now is because i couldn't switch optimize device care battery settings due to be unrestricted<- guess that suppose to be like that by default meh

The phone will not back up if the battery is too low or if you turn off the phone at night. The battery needs to be above 30%, the phone needs a wifi connection and it should be on the charger. JUST LET YOUR PHONE OPTIMIZE. You didn't lose anything by not letting your phone optimize, it just won't run at its most efficient.

I also recommend that you find someone who knows how phones work to help you finish setting up your device. Surely your dad knows how this works. I can't understand why he would buy you a phone that neither of you knows how to set up or work.

well i kindof like my phone to go down like 60 or 50 then put it on charger i do at home turn off mobile data and turn on wifi

i have never seen device care battery optimize it always good but that's true what samsung chat told me that if you go to settings in apps find device care click on battery<-will always be unrestricted and despite you see these options

Screenshot_20250219_103611_Settings.jpg

and you do see optimize<-its always going to grey out and you can't manually click on it won't let you correct since its pre install on phone

only the actually apps apps like facebook for an example you can choose unrestricted optimize or restricted eh but the app device care itself you can't

last week i did get notify some apps were being put to sleep and i said no to them afterwards btw<-what old phone used to do when not using apps

The AT&T Cloud backup is not part of Samsung services. You will need to speak with AT&T regarding their services.
