Galaxy S25I found out my 3 month old Samsung S25 Ultra has corrosion on the charging port. I'm not even sure that it was exposed to water and yet it has green color in the port like a old rusted penny.
Anyone had any success dealing with this other than paying insurance premium? The customer service people have made it clear that this is NOT covered under warranty. I feel like I've been scammed; my S9, S22+ have both been exposed to water (S22+ took a swim in the ocean with me) and never had a corrosion issue! Why is my 3 month old phone having corrosion? Are they trying to drive me to Apple? So upset 😕

Galaxy S25The tech had 3 S25U with the same exact problem on the same day.
It was humidity that did that to my phone, in and out of AC to high humidity corroded the pins in my port.
This should not happen in a $1300 phone.

Galaxy S25Any tech device that has ports in them for charging/connections, etc will be susceptible to moisture. The build up does not happen all at once but over time being exposed to humid to dry environments where the port is used/exposed, will cause this to happen. Note this happens almost always during summer months.
Also, iPhones and other brands have the same issues, it is not a unique issue only to S*** devices.

Galaxy S251) the phone is only 3 months old
2) numerous conductive metals resist oxidation and could be used for these ports
3) my Samsung s22+ was submerged in the Atlantic ocean for a few minutes, removed and air dried and proceeded to work fine for years afterwards (still have it & still works fine).
All of these points indicate that the ports on the s25 Ultra are either faulty, manufactured carelessly or worse made with planned obsolescence in mind. The fact that so many others are having thus problem is unsettling

Galaxy S25I suggest reading on how ports are manufactured and what elements/environmental effects cause corrosion, even with having the best anti-corrosive properties.
