Are you referring to the app drawer? The list is now ABC vertical by default.

You can change to the horizontal list if you

Open app drawer > tap three dots on the right side of the search bar > tap sort > tap custom.

If you want the horizontal pages to be alphabetical, unfortunately you will have to sort manually.

This is a great explanation! To add a bit, Good Lock's Home Up module allows individuals to enable horizontal alphabetical sort.

I'm using home screen layout. Can't find a way to alphabetize the app icons.
Just traded my s25+250gb for s25+512gb.
The 250gb apps were alphabetize but the new 512gb phone apps are not.

If I understand correctly, you mean that you use the home screen only layout and do not use an app drawer. Is that right?

If so, there is no way to automatically alphebetize apps on the home screen. They have to be moved manually, unfortunately.

The easiest method for alphabetical home screen sorting would probably be to

create a new folder > open the folder > press the "+" > select all desired apps in alphabetical order

From your new, alphebetized folder

Long press the first item in the folder > press "select" > tap all apps in the exact order you want them to appear > swipe back to the first page of the folder > long press the first item you clicked (this will stack all selected items in order) > drag app stack to desired area on the home screen.

A bit tedious, I know. But I dont know of a better method.

I'm just irritated that the my s25+250gb trade in offered alphabetical sorting but my new s25+512gb does not 😞

The things they tell me to tap aren't even there, when I try to get my apps in alphabetical order.
