I've noticed I've been getting ads for something I've just mentioned in text on instagram

I noticed two Meta apps in my system, Meta App Manager and Meta App Installer. Forced stopped and disabled them but cannot uninstall, of course.

Is there any way to make my texts safer in settings? No I will not be using google messages, it is worse.

I know samsung says they don't sell but it was direct and obvious.

Nope. It's all a part of being connected in the modern world. The privacy boat sailed a long time ago. So you have three options IMHO.

1. Lobby your state reps to get serious about online privacy.

2. Move to the EU, where they already have stricter privacy laws.

3. Disconnect from your electronic devices. Give them up entirely. Throw them away.

All messaging apps sell personal data. That is how they make money. If you want privacy, then call people instead. Samsung also sells your info. Even using their devices (same as any device maker) means the user agreed to their own privacy policies. Disable them or use an ADB connecting your device to your PC and force remove the items that cannot be manually uninstalled. It's ok to do that unless one roots their device, but you will not be able to use them again or install them unless the device is factory reset.

Your phone is always listening to you and watching what you write.  Sometimes it even knows you are thinking about something and will serve up ads. The other day I was only *thinking* about wanting real, not frozen, White Castle hamburgers, not even saying it out loud and next time I opened FB, there were ads for White Castle all over my feed.  I told my sister my car needed service, and now I'm being served ads for new cars.
