This morning my phone installed the ONE UI 8 update. Ever since I have not had any network access. I can't make calls or send texts. Is anyone else having this issue. Does anyone have a solution?

Clear the device cache, if you haven't already:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

If that doesn't fix the issue, reset mobile network settings under settings > general management > reset.

Was able to clear cache but the issue is still there. I will have to reach out to my carrier I guess.

Resetting the mobile network didn't help?

If you have a physical SIM, you could power off the phone, take out the SIM, gently wipe the gold contacts with a soft cloth, and reseat it in the tray.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to contact your carrier.

If you have followed all of @Mujibar's steps and the issue persists, contact your carrier for issues in relation to your mobile network, making calls, text, etc

Yes I finally did. I followed the steps that everyone mentioned above, but my google messages still would not connect. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled. that seems to have fixed everything for now.
