Hmm think the camera processing changed for the 25 and 24 for that matter so would need to adjust the zoom level

You can reduce intelligence processing to minumum in camera settings, but honestly that's baffling. Can you try testing with the other lenses physically covered so it's forced to use the periscope lens? It's possible that for some reason the S25U is switching to the main lens or 3X zoom for some reason.
