S25 ultra Google messages RCS "not supported" after downloading Samsung messages

I just got the s25 ultra, my google messages was working fine with RCS. My curious mind decided to download Samsung messages and give it a try. Well now my RCS on google messages says NOT SUPPORTED. I have tried several things and have not figured it out. Any help?? I've tried clearing the cache, restarted phone from factory, uninstalling app.

I also factory resetted it the first day this started & still was doing it. I called my carrier yesterday which is straight talk, they go through Verizon towers & they tried to tell me that once I lose RCS there isn't a way for me to get it back. I expressed to them several times in several ways that I had RCS no issues until switching between 2 messaging apps & they just suggested to clear cache which I've done 100000x

I think the people at Straight Talk do not know what they are talking about. If a carrier supports RCS, you should be able to get it back. One of the advantages of going with the big guys is the tech support.

Oh I 110% agree with you!! I seen one video on TikTok about a guy did the same thing I did with switching apps and his RCS being broken, but he doesn't explain how he fixed the issue 🫠

you could always ask him in the comments of his video.  Maybe he switched carriers.

This evening I got this new message underneath not supported saying this about the sim. I use a eSIM with this phone, any idea.

Did you click the details? Does Straight talk offer a physical SIM they could swap out? It doesn't make any sense that it worked on that eSIM before and just stopped. Can you remove the eSIM and reactivate it? I don't know because I don't use an eSIM.

I did hit details, it gives me a status code & says the same "this sim doesn't support rcs" & my number listed with a bunch of other ID numbers. They offer physical Sims, but I didn't know if s25 ultras could use a physical sim. I've always used esim. & makes no sense to me either why it would support it then not. This whole situation has been a headache.

Well maybe the solution is to temove and reactivate the eSIM or use a physical SIM. Especially if it's not feasible to switch carriers.

Yeah ima try this tomorrow!!! See if u can get a new esim to try it on or whatnot.

FIXED THE ISSUE!!! So, all along it was on my carriers end, they did something and showed i had a error for my data.
