Hello. I haven't had this phone that long as I've updated from the s24 plus. My s25 plus screen started flickering out of the box. Especially with the updates it had. Its been in a case since day one and it's never been dropped. It was flickering so bad that touching the screen made it worse. I did research and saw some suggested going into safe mode and disabling aod. I went into safe mode and couldn't find option to do that, plus I've never even used AOD. So I just cleared the cache for aod. It seemed to work for a little bit but now evey once in awhile it'll just flicker. I also just got a Samsung wireless charger and put it on that then came back and picked it up and it started flickering really bad. Everytime it does I restart the phone but honestly I'm not sure what else I can do since I haven't found the problem.

Hello MrsKRCombs15, Welcome and thank you for being part of the Community. We understand the concern with the screen flickering.

Here is a link with some troubleshooting steps (be sure to check all 7 checkpoints): https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10004671/

You can run the diagnostics in the Members app, under the Support tab. This will test the hardware on the phone.

If the screen continues flickering, or the diagnostics tests fail, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated by an authorized service center.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For assistance outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Troubleshooting Steps:

Check for Software Updates: Ensure your phone is running the latest version of Android and Samsung's software.

Restart Your Device: A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches.

Adjust Display Settings:

Lower Screen Brightness: Reduce the screen's brightness in Settings > Display > Brightness.

Disable Adaptive Brightness: Adaptive brightness adjusts the screen's brightness based on ambient light, which can sometimes cause flickering. Disable it in Settings > Display > Adaptive Brightness.

Change Refresh Rate: If your phone supports it, try setting the refresh rate to 60Hz instead of 120Hz in Settings > Display > Motion Smoothness.

Reset Problematic Apps: If flickering occurs in specific apps, try resetting them in Settings > Apps > [app name] > Reset.

Inspect for Physical Damage: Check for any cracks or damage to the screen.

Consider Hardware Issue: If the flickering persists even in Safe Mode (which disables third-party apps), it may be a hardware issue, and a professional repair might be needed.

I've check all of these. AOD is not even on. I reset it when it starts flickering. There are no updates, I don't have adaptive brightness on. It has no damage. No problematic apps that I know of. It flickers no matter what is done. Home screen, lock screen, or set down for awhile. And it flickerd real bad when it was set down for wireless charging.

Just submitted feedback and did diagnostics. When it got to touch the screen it started flickering and now it's lightly flickering.

Diagnostics didn't say anything was wrong with it, though.

Send it back and get a replacement while it's still under warranty. You should not be experiencing this with any mobile device, especially one that costs in excess of a thousand dollars.
