When I get a notification and tap it, I want it to open the entire app. But it keeps opening the app in a floating window. This is particularly annoying with messaging as it opens the message directly in a floating window rather than just the messaging app like normal.
I've turned off split screen, bubbles, everything I can find to do with floating and bubbles, and it's still happening. What have I missed?
Have you gone to notifications/advanced settings and turned off floating notifications? My apps all open in full screen when I tap the notification card. Do you have your notifications set to brief or detailed? Choose brief. Have you adjusted the multi window settings in advanced features? Did you set "multi window for all apps" in the labs?
Go to Settings → Apps → [Messaging App] → Advanced → Open in Pop-up View and turn it off. Also check Settings → Notifications → [App] → Advanced and disable any pop-up or direct-reply options. This should make notifications open the full app instead of a floating window.
