For some reason I can no longer connect to my vehicle (2024 Durango) via Android auto. I can't even add my phone to the device list. Was working fine until the other day. I've had my truck 19 months and the S25U for 2 months so it's not my truck but I've scheduled an appt with dealership for any updates that need to be made. But my phone is also not letting me send messages to some people or make calls to others. Overheats when charging and freezes/lags/wicked slow too. And, it likes to factory reset itself; often. I'm bout ready to smash it. Everything is up to date, no injuries, screen protector and case, I take really good care of my belongings and investments. Everyday it's something new that's wrong. Is Samsung just too concerned with competition over quality? My loyalty is starting running thin as I just got this phone because the last one was going crazy too. The constant issues is definitely not worth the cost of the phone. Any suggestions for a new phone that's NOT a galaxy is greatly appreciated.

Clear your phone from the cars memory. Clear your car from your phones memory. Clear Android Auto Cache. Reconnect phone to car. I had this happen to me a while back, this worked for me and its been years with no problem again.

Yikes reading the rest of your message though it certainly sounds like something is happening with your phone. You say its Factory resetting itself but have you tried to back up your data and do a factory reset yourself?? There is a program you can download on a PC or Mac and plug your phone unto the PC to repair any software issues but I cannot remember what its called. You should be able to find it online, its an official Samsung program, not that 3rd party ad filled trash. I have used Samsung phones for 15+ years, never once have I had a phone that was broken in any way that wasn't a broken screen or trash filled charging port. The latest update did get rid of some battery life on my S24Ultra, hopefully they get it ironed out. Odin is the name of the Samsung reflashing software. Im pretty sure you can reflash the same version of Android to your phone without losing data, but be sure to back everything up anyway.

What was your previous phone?

I always feel that when someone has the same issues phone after phone, it's something they are doing, not the phone itself, since millions of phones are sold and millions of users don't have these issues.  Either moving incompatible apps over via Smart Switch, restoring a defective backup, or whatever.  My suggestion would be for you to factory reset your phone and set it up completely from scratch.  I know, I know, who has the time for that?  But, how much time do you have to waste with troubleshooting all these issues?  Naturally, save your personal files prior to resetting.

Hey @SolvingGargoyle visiting the community.  I can definitely understand your concern here. I recommend letting a service technician look this over. As we would like to look at this from a case by case basis, we would need to gather additional information. Please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.
