I stopped by Best Buy the other day while shopping for a new TV. While I was there, I stopped to check out the new S25 phones. I have to say the design is disappointing. I thought the boxy look of my A54 was the sacrifice I had to make for the lower end phone, but it seems the sleekness of the earlier S series is gone forever. Now I see why people seem to feel that Samsung is copying Apple. I really loved the rounded sides and corners of the S10. It was not only esthetically pleasing, but very "hand happy". At least the A54 has the rounded corners, unlike the S25. Also, I am now absolutely positive I hate OneUI7 after playing around with it for a while. I do not like the fact that the five Quick Access icons have been placed mid screen, instead of at the tippy top, the way it is now. That's an inconvenience that makes it unworkable for me. The whole idea of quick access is to give a small swipe and quickly choose your option.

In One Ui 7, you can rearrange everything in the Quick Panel and have them wherever you want. You want your buttons at the tippy top, put them there.

Still unimpressed with the boxy look, even though I know there is only so much you can do with a bar design. I just expected the flagship would look more elegant and streamlined.  At least they are lightweight.

Plus the quick function can be expanded swiping down to reveal the list.

You can return the quick access buttons to the top of the notification tray in oneui7 like how it was before. Expand quick settings>tap the pencil icon>panel settings>select "together"

What would really impress me is if, instead of the flips and folds, they brought back the slide and put a real keyboard on the phones. For that, I'd go for the big bucks.

Me too. I know they have the technology to implement it.

The only way to get a keyboard on an S25 base model is by getting this great gadget by Clicks.

My point was that they should forget the flips and folds and bring back the slide - or just add a slide to the line. That little gadget is neat, but it makes the phone larger.
