I've been an avid Samsung user for many years, and just upgraded from the s24 ultra to the s25 ultra. The s25 is playing the same notification sound for every single app. For example, my WhatsApp, ring doorbell, text messages, Facebook, Gmail, etc all make the same alert sound and there's no way to make the app play their default sounds. I spoke with 2 different Samsung employees on chat and they both told me it was not possible and they have no record of notification issues. So, I proceed to drive to an authorized repair shop and they told me its a Samsung software issue and my best bet is to return the phone until Samsung fixes their issue.

Galaxy S25I found a fix somewhere on the internet that fixed it for my S25 Ultra by going Settings-> Apps -> Three Dots in Upper Left Corner -> Reset App Preferences
I had to go through all the permissions again on all the apps, but all of the sounds were reset to whatever is their default. The apps had to have their notifications turned back on as well since the permission was removed.
I didn't lose any app data, but resetting permissions was a bit of a pain.

Galaxy S25There is a way to change the notification sound back to your custom sounds. You would need to make sure that the mp3 file is back to the "Notification" folder in "My files". I ran into this issue when I transferred all of my apps and data from S22 Ultra to my S25 Ultra.

Galaxy S25This worked for me to change the sound in Messages on my S25 Ultra.
1st make sure this setting is on.
Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Go to the bottom and turn on Manage notification categories for each app.
Settings > Apps > Messages > Notifications > Notification categories > Incoming messages > Sound
I hope this helps.

Galaxy S25Try Uninstalling the apps that have the default alpha sound then reinstalling from the playstore. I think the apps that are transfered from your old phone default to alpha sound.
