S25 Ultra : Facebook Messenger Issues

I've been having issues with Facebook Messenger not loading new messages when I open the app. Notifications work fine but when I open the app, the messages do not refresh automatically and I have to either clear cache or force stop the app for it to work properly.

Latest updates are already installed and I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app itself but the issue still persists.

Go to settings, apps, Meta services, storage, clear cache.

If that doesn't work, it's a Meta problem, not a Samsung one.

I have the exact same problem and even when I turn off active status in both apps, my friends can still see that I'm online. Please help me. I only have facebook on my phone, nowhere else

It is a Meta issue, contact Facebook support.

No it's not. Messenger worked perfectly fine on my old cheap Samsung A55 and now that I got Galaxy S25 Ultra it has connectivity issues that are not possible to resolve unless I reinstall the app altogether.

So reinstall the app. Put in an error report if reinstalling doesn't help, or reset your phone.

That sounds to me like a coding error between Facebook/Messenger (who are running two totally different sets of code and they aren't always congruent, especially shortly after one or the other updates)

My messages show up fine, but my problem is if I try to message a page for the first time, the text box is at the very bottom and gets obscured by the keyboard instead of automatically appearing just above it. Making it impossible to know if anything being typed is correct.

Facebook has always had coding issues though, and the more they try to integrate (or, in the case of messenger, keep separate) the worse it seems to get. As soon as they patch one issue they seem to inevitably create several more.
