Facebook and Messenger. Error when trying to log in

Just boughta S25 Ultra.

 

Both the facebook and Messenger app is giving problems.

When trying to login, getting a message about an unexpected error, please try again.

Have:

- un and reinstalled

-tried with 'forgetting' password and receive codes.

- cleared cache and data

All several times, also restarted. But result the same every time.

What am I missing???

Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Did you clear the phone's cache partition after your update?  This is different than the app cache. There may be some leftover temp files interfering with proper operation of your apps. Read this article: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/Best-Practices-After-an-Update/ba-p/3200871. It could also be a temporary issue with Meta services.

Test in Safe Mode:

Boot your S25 Ultra in Safe Mode to check if a third-party app is interfering:

Hold Power + Volume Down > Tap Safe Mode in the menu.

Try logging into Facebook/Messenger. If it works, uninstall recently added apps.

Temporarily turn off Private DNS:
Settings > Connections > More Connection > Private DNS > Off.

Access Facebook via Samsung Internet or Chrome to confirm if the issue is app- specific.
