I am unable to get far away to bring phone to nearest place to check battery. I do NOT game on this phone yet it gets hot. I have tried to hold the "volume down " & "power" but the phone will NOT bring up the options to clear cache. I regret being roped into buying this phone at this price as T-Mobile deceived me in their business dealings. I have been a long time Samsung user but never had problems until this Galaxy s25. Can anyone tell me why the menu to clear cache won't even come up?

I've not heard of using the Volume Down and Power Buttons pressed together as a way to clear the cache. That function has always created a screenshot for me.

I use Samsung's Device Care app to clear my cache and manage my power and battery settings.

Thanks, Dan2023, I do use that feature as well. I forgot to say "when the power is off, use "volume down & power button" this is supposed to being up a type of maintenance boot time setting (I'm not sure exactly what they call it) that isn't working.

Sorry but you need to hold down the volume UP and side button at restart. Not the Volume DOWN button.

The screen shot feature would a single press simultaneously on the power button and volume down button.  Press & hold both of those buttons is the forced reboot.

Volume DOWN + Power button forces a reboot if your phone is already on.  To boot into recovery, as @LongHiker said, is hold power and volume UP button until you see the Samsung logo on the screen, then let go of the power button and tap the power UP button.

I have it set up on my phone that when I press and hold the Power Button then I get several options, one of which is to Restart the device.

The other option for pressing and holding the Power Button is to open the Camera app.

Either option is selected in the settings.

You can also Restart the phone by pulling down the Quick Menu, tapping the Power icon, then select Restart.
