New battery icon is absolutely awful - One UI 7 / April patch update

New battery icon is way too big / fat in the latest beta release. Please change it back asap.

Update: if beta users complained that previous icon was too small to read how about giving us an option to choose or make the actual pill smaller a bit?

i agree. is absolute awful!  i dislike showing the digits and i can barely tell the percentage now.  and that icon is soo big and white ruining my whole attention span.

I agree completely, the battery icon is such an eye-sore now as soon as your phone is unlocked , and there is no way to adjust the size or font of it. The number inside the icon is also not at all clear due to some reason the, original battery icon design was just fine, it was there but useful not flashy. Now it looks like some icon from a cheap android phone version. Not at all expected on a flagship update. Samsung can you give an option to change the size of that icon or just revert it to the original state. There seems to be an option on goodlock through quickstar to disable it, but we need the battery icon & percentage there, but in a more subtle way!!!

I agree. That's the first thing that eye catches when you look at status bar. Submit report via Members app. The more complaints they get, the faster they will change the design

I want the battery % icon back. I'm not familiar with quickstar either. I'm just a regular phone user. Can anybody let me know if there is a way to get that % icon back?

I agree with this - could we not give users an option for which one they prefer to display?  For contrast / eyesight reasons, some may prefer one over the other.  I like the more minimal ##% and don't want a little moon phase icon persistently in the upper left of my screen - I keep glancing and thinking it is a smudge or dirt.

I don't like it either. I like the uniformity of having EVERYTHING in plane white text. Now it looks like a tictac in the corner of my phone. Definitely not for me.

Same here especially sewing the percentage number before was definitely more practical to see than what I'm seeing just now. Is there a way to revert this part back?

My mom has a Samsung s 24 and I have the ultra. Her phone automatically did the update and she showed me all the new stuff(which she hates btw) and I agree with her. I hope they make an option to change a few things back to the way they were! I'm not even doing the update for as long as possible because I don't want my stuff to change.

The update happened automatically and I seriously hate it. Not just the battery icon but the whole new set up. Give us the option to put it back normally or get rid of this update! I want to be able to see my notifications as soon as I pull the screen down but instead I keep turning my brightness and Volume up and down -.- I don't like anything about this update at all!
