New S25 Ultra Unable to setup work profile using company portal

I installed company portal on my new S25 Ultra and signed using my work credentials and then I press Begin to create a Work Profile. It does something for 3-5 seconds and gives me an error "Can't add Work Profile'.

I checked with my company's IT Admin and there are no policy restrictions and they asked me to try on other devices.

I tried it then on my Note 20 Ultra and S24 Ultra and it worked fine. Seems like there is an issue with S25 software compatibility or something.

I called Samsung Care and they blindly shirked off their hands and told me to contact my IT Department šŸ˜ž Pretty useless. If there is no solution I might have to return the phone since I can't have a phone without my work email and apps.

Add me to the list.  I have been trying to create a work profile with Microsoft Intune, and it gets me to the point where it's about to create the profile, telling what my company can and can't see.  I click on Begin/Continue, and moments later I get a "Can't create work profile" message telling me to contact my IT admin support, which of course they cannot help.  I stumbled now online many folks having this issue.  Please fix this asap..  Walking about with two phones when I need to stay in touch with my company is not ideal.  Can't imagine how the reaction will be when the phone is officially released on 7 Feb.

Anyone who is not able to setup the work profile using Microsoft Intune Company portal where you did not use the Samsung Smart Switch app to migrate from an older Samsung phone to the S25. 

I used the Smart Switch app to migrate from the S24 Ultra to the S24 Ultra, the migrate process did not migrate my work profile.  When I attempt to use the Intune company portal app, I got the Can't set up work profile. Message. I was thinking if the issue is caused by using the Smart Switch app, where maybe a rouge bit of settings from my old phone get migrated which is causing this issue.

 If you didn't did not use Smart Switch and you cannot set up the work profile, then I can dismiss my theory.

First I tried setting up Work Profile after having used Smart Switch, and like everyone else, it did not work.

Then I tried Factory Resetting the phone, and attempted to set up Work Profile WITHOUT having used Smart Switch, and it still did not work.

I'm pretty sure the S25U just isn't an approved device by Google (or whatever? the link was mentioned earlier in this thread) and therefore Work Profile is just impossible until that's fixed, outside of our control, which I hope happens this week, or else I need to return the S25U and go back to using the S24U (which is all I'm carrying right now, while the '25 waits at home for this to be resolved).

Thanks for explaining the steps you have taken. I was constan considering a full factory reset to try again to set up the work profile. You saved me the effort. šŸ‘

Yeah, I think the problem is, the S25U isn't listed here...

...that's the list I was referring to which someone else posted earlier in this thread.

My HOPE is that because we got this phone earlier than expected (original ETA was Feb 7), maybe whoever handles that, just wasn't ready yet? But they better get ready quick, because again, this phone is getting returned otherwise.

Unfortunately I think its deeper than just this list of approved devices. I have co-workers that got the S25 Ultra and were able to install the work profile via Intune and use Teams, Outlook, etc.

Hey..Just curious if the devices were unlocked or through some carrier. Mine is unlocked and it is getting the same issue as every one here.

Funny you should ask, mine (that does not work) is unlocked. My co-worker (that works with intune) is locked to Verizon.

Can anyone confirm having this issue with a CARRIER LOCKED device? It appears everyone is reporting issues with unlocked phones only..... My co-workers with locked devices don't seem to have this issue.
