New S25 Ultra - Notifications not working

Howdy!

Received my new S25 Ultra yesterday, set it up via SmartSwitch. Everything transferred correctly but none of my notifications are working. 

Zero.

I have gone though forum postings that other people have posted looking for solutions and most of those has been DND or a routine turned on blocking notifications. 

Things I've checked:

• Do Not Disturb is TURNED OFF.
• No Modes or Routines are running (there aren't any setup).
• Sound is on.
• Vibrate is on.
• No icons or app badges show up on the top.
• The apps that I am testing with I have confirmed that notifications are turned on.
• All the options are selected for the notification options (Lock Screen, App icon badge, Notification pop-up).
• This happens if the phone is sleeping or awake.
• My old phone is still using Wi-Fi and notifications work fine on that one (other than messages and phone cause that's tied to the SIM). Turning off the old phone and waiting a few minutes and trying on the new phone, same thing happens.
• If I open the offending app, I can see the unread messages.

Other than wiping the phone, skipping the SmartSwitch and starting from scratch, I am not sure how to move forward.

Yeah, some of them (random) do fire when the phone is locked and the screen is off, but most of them only arrive when I turn on and unlock the phone.

I am having the same issues just went from a s22 to the s25 ultra I'm not getting discord, or Gmail notifications. They still work on my 22... going to give it a few days if not I'm returning the 25 and going back to the 22 what a joke

I was having the same issue. Managed to fix it by deleting all Gmail app data, then reconfiguring the app from scratch.

I also disabled/re-enabled Gmail beforehand, but I don't think that did anything.

Once I did the Clear Data then reconfigured, I received a bunch of old notifications in one go, then started receiving new ones as new emails came in. Notification dots for the Gmail app started working too, which was nice.

Why should I delete data? Samsung need to fix it.

You shoulldn't. Moreover, I'm pretty sure that kind of "fix" is a temporary solution.

The problem is some kind of battery optimization of all apps. Gmail is just one of a ton of apps that are affected.

Same problem for me on s25, no popup notifications on screen when screen is off.

Literally 0 notifications. Not a single app. Not sure about SMS. Trying to fix it for an hour, googling as **bleep** and then found this thread... Samsung please

One more annoying thing is that “Device Pairing” in Google Messages is useless now, because my PC keeps losing connection with the phone, and now I need to open the app on the phone rather than on my PC 😞

Switched from S22 ultra to S25 ultra. SIM is updated able to receive calls, did smart switch and logged into everything. Unfortunately there is no way to create a separate work profile with my Microsoft Intune account. I know there is a big thread about this already going on but I can't even get Samsung to show a work profile. Also, despite going through all the notification settings I still can't get notifications from Gmail when I get an email. Its all on to alert every time not just high priority and nothing. Hoping these bugs are fixed soon or else this junk can go back.
