Issues with calls/messages on replacement phone

I'm having issue with phone calls and message. I got replacement sim from Verizon then worked after activating. It suddenly stopped working after a day again. Can someone tell me why this might be happening?

Are you getting any Sim card error or alerts if that made sense maybe a Sim card reading error or issue

The phone cuts off after dialing. There is no message but when sending a message it does a show a message pop up saying it can't be sent

First thought is signal are you showing full bars are like 1 or 2 if it's full bars than seems to be a configuration issue or perhaps they didn't reprivision the new sim

I see full bars and they did reprivision the new sim

OK so it's not the Sim it's your service affected you will need to either contact them or try in the verizon site support to find help only other option I see is in settings in connection do a network reset

I did that too and still call not going through. Mobile data works tho

Next step is message app is it up to date and set up as for calls dropping i am at a loss at moment being signal good and data not a issue

Why can't I send and/or receive text messages on my Android phone?

Your Android phone may not send and/or receive text messages for any of these reasons:

Updates — Android phone makers send OS updates to add new features and fix bugs. To help avoid performance issues, always install updates on your device when notified.

Do Not Disturb — If you're not notified about text messages you get, your phone may be in Do Not Disturb mode. Turn off this mode in your settings. Depending on your phone, settings may be in:

Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb

Settings > Sound & notification

Settings > Sound & vibration, or Settings > Sound

Other messaging apps — Make sure other messaging app settings (e.g., Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.) are correct and the person receiving the message knows which app you're using.

Notifications — If you aren't receiving notifications, check Settings > Notifications and make sure notifications are turned on. Notifications can be muted for specific apps, so check the app list in the notifications settings screen
