Galaxy S25Hello DannyG26, I understand your concerns with your YouTube app having a rectangle shadow box after performing the recent update. First verify that your YouTube app is up-to-date in the Play Store and that your Google Play system is up-to-date.
Reset the App: Open Settings, Tap Apps, Tap Show System Apps, Select the YouTube app, Tap Storage, Tap Clear Data and Tap Delete when prompted.
Optimize your phone: Open Device Care, Tap Optimize now and reboot your device
Try the app in Safe Mode: Power on your Galaxy phone or tablet in Safe mode
Factory Data Reset: Please be sure to back up your device before performing the reset, Open Settings, Factory Data Reset, Tap Reset, Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset
