If you are surfing the net while on a call, the call screen is hidden and you cannot possibly hit the record button by accident. Really, you need your calls announced in your earbuds in order to answer? Just answer the call, if it's spam, hit the disconnect button on your buds and go on with your day (you should have spam protection on anyway). Pull the phone out of your pocket by the sides, or from the top (or bottom) of the phone. That way if your finger hits the screen, you are not touching the record button. The pictures I've seen show the record button in the middle, above the control panel. As stated before in this thread, you always have the option to switch dialer apps. You are not required to use the Samsung dialer.

So after im finished surfing net/shopping online and still on a call, Uhm I usually put my phone back either into my pocket or purse. So you're saying sit still like a mannequin while on calls ? I'm pretty sure you're employed by Samsung because you're fighting every scenario ppl point out.
I am not employed by Samsung, but I have native intelligence and know how to solve my problems. If you are having a problem with the record button either, as I have said repeatedly, change your phone dialer or your habits. If you are on a call and finish your web surfing, or whatever, lock your screen before putting it back in your pocket. I'm of the firm belief anyway that phones do not belong in pockets and people who keep them there deserve what happens to the devices. I don't sit like a robot when I'm on a call, neither do I hold the phone up to my ear - I either use ear gear if I'm out, or speaker if I'm not. I also have a connected watch, so I can see the caller ID and not have to take my phone out of wherever I have it, if I want to see who's calling. Even when I didn't have a watch, I never pulled my phone out by anything other than the sides or the top. There would be no way for me to accidentally press the record icon in its current location.
And, if I was having a problem of accidentally activating the recorder, I would follow advice and change the dialer app, because Samsung is not changing that any time soon. BTW, I don't disagree the recorder is in a bad place, I just don't see how nobody can seem to avoid activating it and how it is that that is the only accidental activation of controls on the call panel.

remove a call recording from a Samsung Galaxy S25, you can open the Phone app, go to "Recordings", and tap Delete recordings. You can also set how long you want to keep a recorded call before it's automatically deleted.
