In the Instagram app when I go to react to my friends comments or reels in DMs, emojis not in the quick select bar are not selected and do not appear as a reaction.
I have found that if I completely close the Instagram app and then reopen it, I can now select all reactions in DMs and the function works normally. I can confirm reactions are not working because if I react on my phone and select an emoji, nothing will appear in the chat and when I log into Instagram on my PC, there is no reaction there as well. But when I react in the browser it will appear in the chat on my phone.
This has been happening since I received my S25 Ultra. I did transfer instagram from my previous phone. I then uninstalled once i encountered this issue and have since gone through 2 Instagram updates but I am still having this slightly annoying issue.
