I'm trying to setup my new S25 ultra but when I get to the Samsung pass to unlock my passwords wtc it keeps asking for a pin from my old phone and I don't know which pin it keeps asking for.

I've already tried my phone unlock pin, my Samsung Wallet pin and every other pin I know. I'm lost, and don't want to lose all my passwords if I run out of attempts.

I transferred everything with the Samsung switch app. The new phone has all the passwords etc in Samsung pass. I just can't get to them when I try to sign into something, that's when this screen pops up.

Samsung Wallet should use your Samsung account for access. Since you can still access it on your 23, try resetting the Wallet app on the 25 then login on the 25 with your samsung account. If you're able to login, sync the data on the 23 and then sync on the 25 to pull them over.

From Perplexity AI:

"The PIN Samsung Pass is asking for is likely the one you originally set up when creating your Samsung Pass account. If you donā€™t remember it, here are steps to help:

Check Samsung Account Credentials: Ensure youā€™re signed into the same Samsung account used on your old phone. Samsung Pass syncs data via this account.

Reset Samsung Pass PIN:

Open Samsung Pass.

Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and go to Settings.

Look for an option to reset or manage your PIN. You may need to verify your identity using your Samsung account password or biometric data.

Use Find My Mobile:

If locked out, visit Samsungā€™s Find My Mobile website.

Log in with your Samsung account and unlock your device remotely.

Contact Samsung Support:

If none of these work, reach out to Samsung support for assistance. They may guide you through resetting Samsung Pass without losing your saved passwords.

Avoid multiple incorrect attempts as it could lock you out further."

I know it's not safe, but I had my decryption code written on a piece of paper in my wallet.

your Samsung Pass isn't decrypting, it likely means there's an issue with your registered biometric data (fingerprint or face scan), possibly due to a faulty scan, dirty sensor, or incorrect setup; you might need to re-register your biometric information, or if that doesn't work, try restarting your phone and checking your Samsung Pass settings to ensure it's properly activated.

Potential reasons why Samsung Pass might not decrypt:

Incorrect biometric scan: If your fingerprint or face scan isn't recognized accurately, Samsung Pass won't decrypt.

Dirty sensor: A dirty fingerprint sensor can lead to inaccurate readings.

Biometric data not registered: If you haven't set up any biometric data in Samsung Pass, it won't work.

Samsung Pass disabled: Check your settings to ensure Samsung Pass is enabled.

Software issues: Sometimes, a software glitch can cause Samsung Pass to malfunction.

How to troubleshoot:

Clean the sensor: Thoroughly clean your fingerprint sensor with a soft, dry cloth.

Re-register biometric data: Go to Settings > Biometrics and security > Samsung Pass and re-register your fingerprint or face scan.

Restart your phone: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.

Check Samsung Pass settings: Ensure that Samsung Pass is activated and set up correctly.

Check for updates: Make sure your phone is running the latest software version.

If none of these steps work:

Contact Samsung Support: Reach out to Samsung customer service for further assistance.

Backup important data: If you suspect a more serious issue, consider backing up important data before attempting a factory reset.
