I have the S25Ultra with all the updates. Today out of nowhere my ambient lockscreen had stopped working. Tried some troubleshooting steps and nothing. Anyone with the same issue?

The way to fix it, go to settings, apps, type in the search box, weather, go to storage and clear Data. Open your weather widget, give precise location permission. It will open to location on a couple of seconds. It might be a couple of minutes before you will see it on your lockscreen.

Thanks for posting about this — you’re definitely not the only one who’s seen the Ambient lock screen stop working after an update. Robin621k gave a solid fix. Just to add to that, after clearing the Weather app data and granting precise location access, make sure:

Lock screen content is enabled under Settings > Lock screen > Widgets > Weather

Your phone is set to allow background activity for the Weather app (under Settings > Apps > Weather > Battery)

And also make sure Device Care > Background usage limits isn’t putting the Weather app to sleep

Sometimes an update resets these behind the scenes. Once all that’s in place, the ambient screen usually refreshes within a few minutes. Hope it comes back up for you — it’s a feature a lot of us rely on!

Thx for that! Some of those steps did help me. I also forgot that after thinking what else i enabled or disabled, I turned off a routine I made, that when I plug in my phone, I have a different lock screen and it was animated. I think when I unplugged my phone, it may have glitched. Coincidence maybe, ambient wallpaper started working.
