Always On Display no longer customizable on S25 Ultra?

Did Samsung remove all of the customize options for the always on display?? I can no longer find any way to change colors, add pictures, change the clock styles, etc. Also, app notifications are now showing up in the left hand corner instead of under the clock in the middle of the screen like before?? And before you ask - yes my software is updated to the latest firmware as of this post.

In One UI 7.0, notification icons on the lock screen currently adopt a single, uniform color. 

I prefer the notification icons to retain their original app-specific colors on the lock screen, as they did in previous One UI versions. 

This helps in quickly identifying notifications and enhances the user experience.

Do you have Good Lock on your device? If you don't, go to the Galaxy Store, search for download and install Good Lock; it is a Samsung developed tool. Open that module, find NotiStar and install that plugin. Open that and in the search bar in that pluton, click on the three vertical dots, choose settings then toggle on "Using on Lock screen" and go form there with color schemes, etc.

Yes but that only lets you select a color for all icons. In previous versions, icons could retain their apps color (ex. WhatsApp green, Signal blue, etc.) making them much more distinguishable and functional.

I don't have an S25 and my phone is still on OneUI6.1.  I have never, and I mean never, had my notification icons ever be anything other than white on the AOD and whatever color my color scheme is on my lock screen.  I would not want my icons to be their original colors, as long as they have the proper logo.  The original colors of most icons are just plain ugly and would clash with my wallpaper.

Are you new to Samsung? One UI 6.1 destroyed AOD customization, and the notification icons have been in color since the Touch Wiz days. 6.1 totally gutted everything good about Always on Display

I do not know what you are talking about with 6.1, I was still able to customization my AOD , and still am with 7.0 and fully expect to with  8.0.  I only need the clock and the clock to be the color that I want anyway, and I can still put a photo on the AOD, should I choose to.  You have to do it through Gallery.  It's my AOD, not my lock screen.  If I wanted more color and customization, I'd simply use the lock screen and skip the AOD.    Are *you* new to Samsung?

I'm talking about the AOD. all notification icons were in color before the 6.1 update. They were also bigger and not all smashed together as they are now. We also didn't have to use Good Lock Before 6.1 as AOD was native to the phone. One UI 8 doesn't bring back anything either FYI.

I wish they would give you the option. It looks so much better with their original colors, I hate them all being one color. Looks so bland.

So, they are not in color now, big deal. They are there, that's all that needs to be there, if one wants notifications on their AOD.  You only get three anyway now.

GoodLock is Samsung's official customization suite of apps.  It makes it easier for users to customize their phones and settings, because not every user wants the same features.  It also makes it easier for Samsung to modify or add modules on the fly, rather than having to wait for a new UI update to add customization features.  If you want to add a photo to your AOD, you have to do it through the Gallery app.  You select the photo you want, tap the dot menu and select "set as wallpaper" and then select the AOD and/or wherever else you want it.

Does lack of color affect the functioning of your phone in any way?  Can you still see that there are notifications?  They look bland?  How much time do you spend staring at your phone screen?

Yes, it's a big deal. I just switched from A50 with Android 9 to S25 FE. On A50, notification icons on the AOD screen were in specific colors of the app, which was extremely helpful.

(Obviously, there are also tons of improvements between these systems and phones, but it's unfortunate that this particular functionality has degraded).
