AUTHENTICITY ISSUE. Should I seek legal action against Samsung and Amazon????

The notifications bar doesn't keep icons or info like my s10plus did. For example, the Shazam app has a notification bar toggle that tends to disappear on it's own. It's the same thing for the Samsung Music app and others, regardless of the type.

Also, I think I bought a fake S25 Ultra from Amazon. This phone acts like an off brand tablet I purchased with Android 15 supposedly installed. I contacted Amazon to tell them about it and when they sent me an email asking if I signed in from a new device, it showed that I was using a GENERIC ANDROID VERSION 10 and GENERIC MOBILE. 

What the heck???? I contacted Samsung using Smart Tutor when I first got the phone and they said that it was an authentic phone and software. However, I've been having issues since day one and still have issues to this day.

I am attaching screenshots of the email as well as other things that prove that I'm not crazy or lying (Amazon rep slyly suggested that both were true). 

I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THE BS EXCUSES FOR THIS!!!!

Considering it seems all of your information regarding generic mobile is coming from amazon, my first suggestion is that you go into your settings and go into your software information and see what it says there. If it says you are on One UI8 and Android 16, then I firmly believe that it's an Amazon app problem. If not, I would send it back to Amazon.

I contacted Amazon yesterday and I apparently can't send it back or even get a partial refund.

I contacted Samsung via chat, they refuse to help as well. I'm going to see if my credit card company will refund my money.

I would keep pushing with amazon, I'm sure they have some type of customer service escalation team that you can be put in touch with.

This is normal with Amazon, they don't have access to read device info. It will always say Generic Android device.

As to the rest of the rant, they are describing the notification area as how it should behave if really running Ui7 and things disappearing in the notification area of the status bar. OP doesn't realize that this is how it is in Ui7.

It's your IP address. "Device generic Android" means the device is using a basic, unbranded version of the Android operating system. This is common for less expensive or lesser-known brands that don't have custom software layers, or it can be a default label for a device that a network can't identify.

It looks legit, but again, it's the way it functions that makes it seem shady.
