256GB Z Flip 3 to 128GB S25 upgrade: start from scratch or use SmartSwitch?

The Z Flip 3 has 176GB in use (see attached image); I only got the 128GB S25.

*The 256GB S25 is usually only sixty bucks more (highly recommended), but I could not find one at that wonderful/unbelievable sale price range I got a new unlocked 128GB S25 for.

I'm really bad at that, lol.
I installed a number of games to partake in a rewards program, and I need to delete the older ones.
I don't need to store the videos on the device; I have 1TB of MS OneDrive storage.
I have MANY utility and WiFi home appliance apps; many of which I only use on occasion.

Starts to add up after while I would get rid of any duplicates

347 system apps + 492 other apps = 839 total apps, occupying 102GB! 😱

My new S25 currently has = 379 system apps + 111 other apps = 490 total apps, occupying 21GB.

@Natey SmartSwitch would work only if you choose custom and deselect a bunch of items. Or if you erased a lot of data from your phone.

I wish I got the 256GB S25.. but I do have to do this housekeeping sometime.

I used SmartSwitch from my Galaxy S10e to my Z Flip 3. Possibly also from my S7 to my S10e. Not sure about from my S4 to my S7..

Whenever I upgrade my phones, I buy an external drive, put all my files onto that drive, label it and store it, then start fresh with my new device.

Also... if you can wait a few weeks until black Friday sales, the likelihood that you will be able to get free storage upgrades or other price reductions increases exponentially.

If I see a Black Friday price that beats what I paid at the recent Amazon Prime Day, I'll post a follow-up here. Typically they throw in some freebies, and a RAM upgrade, but they don't drop the price. They may give a huge discount for trading in an old device. I actually traded in my old S7 when I got my Z Flip 3, and kept my S10e.
