I believe I posted something similar a while back, but can't find it.

I have hearing aids that connect to my phone.  As I type, those hearing aids are connected and working well.  At the same time I have a Samsung watch6 connected and working well.

My problem is, for months, on receiving a phone call, the audio came through the phone.  I could have my hearing aids turned on, but lying on a table and still here the audio through the phone.  Not any more.  Audio always comes through the hearing aids.  AFAIK, I've made no setting changes.

Widex, the manufacturer, claims there is no settings in their app to affect this. Has to be a S24 setting.

I know this.  When I get in my car and receive a phone call, the audio comes through the car speakers.  If I'm wearing a headset for music, the audio comes through the headset.  Somehow the phone can distinguish the source and provide audio from that source.  except, the hearing aids.  BTW, notifications come through the phone - not the hearing aids.

Two reasons I always want sound through my phone.

1) Hearing Aid volume during phone call can range from 'normal' (good) or barely audible (bad), particularly with background sound

2)  Preference.  Just want sound through the phone.

" if you always want the sound to come out of the phone, do the following: (turn on manually) separate app sound: (choose app = phone), select phone for where the sound comes from. (turn on automatically) BT device connected = hearing aids. Separate app sound: (phone), select phone."

I'm guessing that screen is under 'Modes and Routines.' I can Add a routine and name it.  After that, I'm lost.

If you are going to create it as a routine instead of a mode, do this:

If:

Bluetooth device (select device = hearing aids)

Connected to hearing aids

Then:

Separate app sound (search the list of actions and select this)

tap the text under "Apps" to select your phone app. and then select the sound to go to the phone rather than to Bluetooth.  Save your routine and it will automatically run until you turn it off or disconnect your hearing aids, in which case, all sounds will come out of the phone set.

The routine should look like this:
