S24 Battery Drain Post-Update

I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast. 

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software. 

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

I thought it was just me. I went from. 100% to 92% so quickly. I will give it the benefit of the doubt I was messing around with stuff. I'll go off of my battery tomorrow since I know I'll be playing with it today finding stuff

You're not the only. Mine has been draining as well. I'm just going to let it marinate and see what happens.

here is the best fix destroy your s 24 ultra like I did inner screen and glass done after 15 ui 7 wow im happy now it won't **bleep** me off anymore lol lol

So your "solution" to fixable problems is to destroy your device? One you paid big bucks for? It might have been better to leave it intact and a) explore solutions to your issue, b) reset it and start from scratch, c) reset it and sell it, d) reset it and trade it in for a brand you think would suit you better. So, now you are without a phone and have to purchase a new one.

Ok once it dropped to 85% connected back to the charger and got it to 100% and let stay for few more minutes..now seems like doing great. Been more than 15 mins just a 1% drop. Perhaps the new version algo needs to take some time.

I am also facing the same issue.   I take it off my charger in the morning and 10 minutes later it is down to 85%

Yes! This is recent, like in the last 2 days. My galaxy watch 5 golf edition and my S24 Ultra both die in less than a day. I factory reset the watch, helped for a few days then it started again with the phone. Going to try factory testing both today and see if that helps. This is nuts!

As has been stated many, many, many times, immediately after an update and for about two weeks afterwards, your battery life will suffer for various reasons.  The devices also have to relearn your battery usage patterns in order to normalize.  The updates effectively reset the battery's memory.  Updates take an enormous amount of battery power, so the adaptive battery believes that usage is part of your pattern.  Once the update stops doing its background work and  you return to your normal usage, the adaptive battery will also return to your normal uptime - maybe even improve it.

Your Watch 5 may have a different issue. Being several years old now, the battery may be starting to deteriorate.
