S24 Battery Drain Post-Update

I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast. 

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software. 

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

Did you just recently install Ui 7?

Yes, just the other day.

When you install a major update such as a new a Ui, it takes about 2 weeks to relearn your usage patterns.

In the mean time, it is also very important after each and every software update is to perform what is know as a wipe cache partition. This gets rid of accumulated ghost temporary files that you no longer need.

Instructions below.

Wipe Cache Partition.
Turn off phone.
While powered down, press power key and volume up button simultaneously until the phone vibrates. Let go of buttons. You will now be in the bootloader. Using Volume buttons for scrolling, power button for Yes.
Scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition. Press power, scroll to Yes, press power. Reboot press power key.

Hmmm, I wasn't able to get the cache menu up. Is there a setting I can go to, to clear the cache?

If you follow my instructions you should be able to access the recovery screen.
Your phone needs to be powered off.

I notice the same with mines as well. My guess could be the update. I'm hoping they fix that issue. 🤷🏾‍♂️
