Phone has been overheating and running very slow

I was wanting to reach out to someone at Samsung to let them know that ever since the last security patch after the official one ui 7 update my phone has been getting really hot and running very slow. Ram is clean and clear as well as storage. It never heated up like this before. I'll be watching reels and it'll get hot to the touch... its been fine the whole time I owned it until right after this last security patch a couple weeks ago. Please help

No, go to settings, security and privacy, updates on the bottom, check for Google Play Services.

You mean this? I check every day, at least twice. And unfortunately there are no more updates at the moment. I did what you said and wiped the cache partition as well

Yes. A lot of the over heating is Google's fault.

They are working on it with Samsung. Hopefully by the time Google gets Android 16 beta all figured out it will fix things on Ui7. A lot of what is in Ui7 is in Andoid 16 Beta.

I do hope they fix it soon. The S24 Ultra is a wonderful phone that's been hampered by this issue for some time. I'd hate for this issue to persist any further. Thank you for the assistance.

I am running Ui8 Beta, all the battery issues I was having on Ui7 are pretty much gone.

My Google Play system update had a green check mark like yours, with the date, April 1, 2025, like yours, but I tapped it anyway and there was another update that downloaded and had me reboot the phone when done. Upon reboot, it still has an April 1, 2025 date, but tapping Google Play system now says my device is up to date.

April 1, 2025 is the latest Google Play Services update.
Checked again today, and it says up to date.
Is there a May release?
