The new notification bubbles in UI 7 are needlessly very hard to read, especially in daylight.

Who's idea was it to use an unchangeable dark gray background for black text?!?

This needs to be fixed. Fast. At the minimum, users need to be able to override this with a different background color.

Are you using a theme? Using a dark background? It's transparent gradient. You can try using Goodlock and see if you can change it.

I'm not using any theme that I'm aware of, but I'll check. I do use an all black photo as my background, though. I'll check into GoodLock.

Regardless, it seems like the UI should have some standard for the minimum contrast items have to be to enforce readability.

I keep my phone in dark mode. I set a custom color scheme with Samsung Theme Park. I hope you're also able to get your notifications to look the way you want them to. 1746478172136.jpg

Thanks. I'll look into it. Ironically, when the screen is locked, they display as black text on a white/light background. But even in locked mode, if you pull them down, they switch to a dark gray background.

Good Lock is the answer. Quickstar allows you to change the color of quick panel elements, including notification bubbles. This can also be accessed from the Quick Panel section of Theme Park.

I can't see were I can do that. The Quick Panel stuff, yes. But these notification color settings aren't there.

The different circles indicate different regions you can edit. A bit of trial and error to get exactly what you want, but I've pointed out the ones relevant to notifications in the attached screenshot. 1746490345864.jpg

I think that's going to work. It'll take a little bit to get it dialed in, but it does seem possible. Thanks!
