Differences in the two notification snooze options?

On my phone, two of the options I have when viewing a notification are snooze (literally a button labeled "Snooze"), and a bell icon with a small clock.

The Internet mainly says they are both ways the snooze option could be displayed. When I click "snooze", the notification simply disappears and seems to reappear in an hour. There is no option to change the timing anywhere, even in the phone settings. Clicking the bell icon gives me the time duration choices that I've read about in the Internet before doing the same thing.

Is there a difference between the two notification options or not?

They should be the same thing. The Bell may be the repeat notification the snooze button is the snooze button. The snooze feature may be a set interval but try long pressing on it to see if you can change the interval for snoozing.

More confusion abounds.

Long pressing "snooze" simply makes the notification minimize with now a red bell icon with a line across it. Long pressing the bell icon with that clock also does the same. ๐Ÿ˜’

That sounds the most logical take. ๐Ÿ˜Š After all, the ending outcome is the same effect.
(For those looking for a description of why, see my comments down below about the app the notifications belong to.)

I think the default notification snooze is 30 minutes. The repeat notifications you can adjust in notification advanced settings settings.

I just checked that advance settings; it's actually off on my phone. I get the impression that the "repeat notifications" feature is an automatic one for people who tend to ignore or forget their notifications.

It is automatic. There are people who don't hear notificatons the first time or are not near their device when a notification comes in. Some people just like to be reminded of a specific notification. One can select which apps get repeat notifications

When I long press on the bell button, a "toast" pops up offering snooze option. When I tap on a repeat I am offered repeat intervals. 1754873407738.jpg1754873725077.jpg

Aw...lucky you.

This is what I got:

The bell icon brings up the duration options in the second picture.
Long pressing either "snooze" or bell icon brings up the third picture.1754877507446.jpg1754877634351.jpg1754877721933.jpg

Sorry I can't be of more help to you. I do not normally snooze or repeat my notifications - I act on them or dismiss them, so this does not normally come up as an issue for me.
