I got a Samsung Galaxy S24FE 5G earlier this year but I had so much trouble with it that I had to do a factory reset and send it back and now I have had a refurbished phone for over a month and I am having the exact same problem with messages not going into the app! It will even show a number that the message is there but when I click to read the message it will say "Something went wrong. We ran into a problem. Try again later. If there's still a problem, contact Customer Service." Or I will go into voicemail because I see a number that there is a voicemail but there's still no voicemail there. Sometimes a message will be in *86 even though it's not in the app, but not always. And to tell you the truth I got nowhere with calling Samsung. They claim the problem is with Verizon so they are no help at all and I'm getting nowhere with Verizon. So, I am in a stupid circle going nowhere.

Does anyone know why I am having a problem with voicemail not going into the app when it clearly shows that I have space for 19 more voicemails? On the earlier phone I had to turn in, it would show it was full and didn't have space left for any more calls even though it was empty!

And on the other phone, I even had problems with not even hearing the phone ring when calls came in even though the phone was in my hand and the volume was all the way up. And it wouldn't even show who was calling. And I would go to the Verizon store and they would call me with me sitting next to him and he couldn't hear my phone ring and then he would call somebody at Verizon customer service and they would call my phone with both of us sitting there and he couldn't hear it ring then either. So I have no way to tell if I'm really missing calls still even on this phone.

At the moment, I'm not sure if I will ever buy another Samsung phone again.

But I sure would love to hear if somebody can tell me why voicemails aren't coming into the Samsung app? And it's more confusing because sometimes voicemail does come in if it's from an individual! Something is surely amiss.

Thanks for any help you can give.

It was just updated on the 23rd and this has been going on long enough that there have been other updates and it's never fixed the problem, but thanks.

Like meself said, open your phone app. Click on keypad and press and hold the 1 button down till it says you're in voicemail to fix that issue

I did a search on my S24FE and there are too many options for keyboards and I don't know which one to press 1 on. ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ1754021976427.jpg1754021976450.jpg1754021976471.jpg1754021976493.jpg

The 1 key on the phone dialer keypad - like when you open the phone app and go to dial a number.  There should be a tiny "reel" symbol above the #1.  Long pressing on the key will automatically dial your voicemailbox.

I did just figure out how to do that and learned something new!! But all it does is ask me to enter my password to access my messages. And there's nothing in the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner except add call, show RTT keyboard, view contact, send message and emergency call. So I don't see that it gives anywhere to fix the issue.

If Verizon is claiming that they cannot fix the issue, then  you should, in all seriousness, consider switching carriers.  The voicemailbox, visual voicemail and the signal coming through to your phone that you have a voice message is SOLELY on n the carrier side.  You can try once again to have Verizon reset your voicemailbox, and/or you can try resetting your mobile network if you have not already done it from the prior suggestion to do so.  If that does not work I, for one, would seriously consider switching carriers over this. Verizon Mobile has been in business long enough to know how to fix this.

Now, it is possible there is some defect in the phone itself because it's a refurbished model, but that is very unlikely and you would be having many other problems.

I would have already switched carriers but I have a problem. I am 77 years old and for the first time in my life I had to pay for my smartphone on the monthly payment plan so my phone isn't paid off so I can't switch carriers until I pay off my smartphone! ๐Ÿ˜ต ๐Ÿ’ซ It is interesting that on the same day that I saw a call come in from an unidentified number so I let it go to voicemail. And of course it didn't go in the Samsung voicemail and I got one of those error messages that I already mentioned. But later that afternoon I got a voicemail so I can't figure out the difference between why I get some and why I don't get others. And why some only go to *86 or I don't get them AT ALL. And it's getting pretty annoying.

And it is just really curious that I have the same problem with the refurbished phone that I had with the S24 FE that I bought earlier this year. But on the original phone, it would show in Settings that my mailbox was full, meaning I had 20 saves voicemails, but yet it wouldn't accept any voicemails even though my voicemail was actually empty. But this refurbished phone clearly shows that it has enough space for 19 more phone calls and yet I still have a problem.

I have been with Verizon at least 14 years but I would switch in a heartbeat if my phone was paid off. And I am on early Social Security, so I can't do that and I live paycheck to paycheck.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
