I got a Samsung Galaxy S24FE 5G earlier this year but I had so much trouble with it that I had to do a factory reset and send it back and now I have had a refurbished phone for over a month and I am having the exact same problem with messages not going into the app! It will even show a number that the message is there but when I click to read the message it will say "Something went wrong. We ran into a problem. Try again later. If there's still a problem, contact Customer Service." Or I will go into voicemail because I see a number that there is a voicemail but there's still no voicemail there. Sometimes a message will be in *86 even though it's not in the app, but not always. And to tell you the truth I got nowhere with calling Samsung. They claim the problem is with Verizon so they are no help at all and I'm getting nowhere with Verizon. So, I am in a stupid circle going nowhere.

Does anyone know why I am having a problem with voicemail not going into the app when it clearly shows that I have space for 19 more voicemails? On the earlier phone I had to turn in, it would show it was full and didn't have space left for any more calls even though it was empty!

And on the other phone, I even had problems with not even hearing the phone ring when calls came in even though the phone was in my hand and the volume was all the way up. And it wouldn't even show who was calling. And I would go to the Verizon store and they would call me with me sitting next to him and he couldn't hear my phone ring and then he would call somebody at Verizon customer service and they would call my phone with both of us sitting there and he couldn't hear it ring then either. So I have no way to tell if I'm really missing calls still even on this phone.

At the moment, I'm not sure if I will ever buy another Samsung phone again.

But I sure would love to hear if somebody can tell me why voicemails aren't coming into the Samsung app? And it's more confusing because sometimes voicemail does come in if it's from an individual! Something is surely amiss.

Thanks for any help you can give.

That is required a pin or password to get your voicemail

What I don't like is that when I have to enter my pin or password that it displays the number.

The problem *would* be with Verizon. All calling and voicemail issues are. Your network is obviously not completing the signal to the phone, either on phone calls or voicemail box activity. Resetting the mobile network connections would be a pain and, yes, you will have to set it up again, but would you rather have a working phone? You have a choice to either reset the mobile network only or the wi-fi and BT networks only. Or both. You only need to reset mobile. But, Verizon should be able to fix this. Have you called their tech support or only went to a store? This is an issue they cannot fix in store, as they do not have techs in store, they have salespeople that have some troubleshooting training. The fact that you are having an identical problem on a second phone should tell you it's a Verizon problem, not a Samsung one.

Why do you dial *86 instead of just long pressing the 1 key?

I have gone to the store multiple times and I have called tech support multiple times and never got anywhere. I didn't know anything about pressing the one key until someone on this post mentioned it yesterday!! So I learned something new.

Did you call customer service or ask specifically for tech support?  There is a difference.  The people at the store are not techies, they are salespeople who can provision a device and do some scripted troubleshooting.  Voicemail and all things related to it are a carrier issue - forever and always.  If Verizon is too incompetent to help you, perhaps think about switching carriers.
