Lost Samsung messages

I lost Samsung messages and I cant get it back, my apk files never work and I don't know what to do.

Was there an update and it was removed from your device?

Have you looked in the Playstore or Galaxy Store?

Yeah, I think my little cousin accidentally deleted it, I missed Samsung messages I liked it better than google

You could try pressing on "restore data" in Samsung cloud if you manually backup data there or have auto sync on with that app

Because you have verizon cloud you could try going to log in verizon cloud in a browser or the verizon app and check there
