Hi. After the last update from Verizon(security patches) on my S24+, I stopped receiving notifications from the Google Voice app about SMS and calls. I have tried to reinstall the app, reset all notifications, but nothing works. My wife is on S21 running Android 15 and has the same Google Voice app version, and it is working fine.

Does anyone have Google Voice and notifications working?

Maybe it was, but it was also nonsense. Access to the network and visibility into your traffic are two different things. The carrier will always see your device on the network, but under a VPN they cannot trace your traffic. I also donโ€™t use Verizonโ€™s DNS, and my DNS is encrypted with TLS.

Your wife is not running the same software versions?  Android 16/OneUI 8?  The notifications work on her phone, but not yours?  You have different device models?  The evidence points squarely to your model of phone, not the OS update, or a singular issue with your device only - otherwise this forum would be flooded with GV users who are having the same issue - and I have seen none.

In any case, error reports should be submitted to Google, Verizon and Samsung, since none of us know if it's something in your phone interfering, bad coding of the app for *your model phone*, or bad coding from Verizon.  And, just because there is an app glitch on your phone does not make it a bad update, as stated before, some other app on  your own device can be interfering.

I posted in another thread so hope my hours of frustration will help you.

Do you have a Galaxy Watch paired to your phone by any chance? I had the same issue after the upgrade and I tired everything from clearing cache on apps, resetting the settings, clearing phone cache, and finally factory reset without luck.

tl;dr: there is a setting to show notifications between the devices. It was set to "smart" decide which device, when I selected show on both everything worked again! You can quickly verify this by just disabling Bluetooth.
